The Ludvík Košek Ice Rink in Turnov is another strong example of how LANUS ROUND luminaires perform even under the most demanding operating conditions. Here, in the heart of the Bohemian Paradise – where our luminaires are developed and manufactured – they illuminate the spacious interior of the ice rink and create optimal lighting conditions for athletic performance, safety, and spectator comfort.

Once again, we deployed high-performance industrial LANUS ROUND luminaires, designed for large-scale and technically challenging spaces and capable of operating reliably even in extreme climatic conditions. These luminaires are engineered for continuous operation at ambient temperatures as low as –40 °C, making them an ideal solution for ice rinks and cold-storage environments.

This project holds exceptional symbolic value for us – our light shines literally at home. In Turnov, where it is created, it now serves athletes, clubs, and the public alike. It is a clear demonstration that local manufacturing can achieve world-class quality.

One of our most significant projects is the installation of lighting in the inflatable AIR dome in Prague – the training center of Sparta Prague for American football players. For this project, we selected high-performance industrial luminaires LANUS ROUND highbay with an efficacy of 155 lm/W and a luminous flux of 23,010 lm per luminaire. Thanks to their exceptional output, it was possible to illuminate the entire volume of the hall evenly and efficiently.

With dimensions of 115 × 74 × 18 meters, this hall is the largest of its kind in Europe, creating an extraordinary space with a total volume of 8,500 m³, placing extreme demands on lighting performance and quality. A total of 112 luminaires were installed, providing stable, glare-free, and energy-efficient lighting suitable for professional sports use.

The construction of the hall was completed in a record time of just four days, highlighting the overall complexity of the project. For us, this installation represents a highly valuable reference and clear proof that LANUS ROUND luminaires perform reliably even in the largest and most technically demanding applications.
