Intelligent light of the new generation

Modern mankind spend up to 90% of their time indoors. Yet natural daylight is essential for our health – it regulates our biorhythms, affects sleep quality, mood, and our ability to concentrate. That’s why TREVOS introduces the concept of HCL – Human Centric Lighting, an intelligent lighting system designed to support the body’s natural rhythm.

Modern lighting is no longer just about visibility. Human Centric Lighting (HCL) puts the human being at the center – it adapts light to our natural biological rhythms and daily needs. With HCL, we create environments that enhance focus, performance, and recovery, while also improving the well-being and health of those who spend time in them.

Intelligent light of the new generation

Biorhythm

The HCL concept is based on the natural daily cycle of light as we know it from nature. Morning cool light activates us, midday neutral light maintains productivity, and warm evening light helps the body calm down and prepare for rest.

The goal is to create a dynamic indoor lighting environment that mimics the natural course of daylight, supporting both biological and psychological human processes.

The Tunable White (TW) function allows smooth color temperature adjustment of the  of white light – from warm to cool – depending on the time of day, activity, or desired atmosphere. Thanks to Tunable White, light becomes a living, natural element of the interior.

Adaptation

Each light temperature has its own meaning and effect on humans. The HCL system uses all three and transitions between them smoothly:

  • Warm light (2,700–3,000 K)
Brings calm and relaxation. Suitable for evening hours and relaxation areas.
Use: homes, hotels, wellness centers, lounge zones.
  • Neutral light (3,500–4,000 K)
Supports natural color perception and concentration. Ideal for everyday activities.
Use: offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail spaces.
  • Cool light (5,000–6,500 K)
Stimulates, increases alertness, and boosts energy.
Use: workspaces, laboratories, production halls, morning shifts.

Focus and performance

Cool white light (5,000–6,500 K) stimulates the brain, increases alertness, and supports productivity. Its bright, daylight-like quality resembles morning light that naturally awakens the body. It is ideal for work environments, schools, offices, or laboratories where one needs to stay awake and focused. Properly set cool lighting contributes to better performance and efficiency throughout the day.

  • Enhances concentration and mental activity – ideal for work, study, or creative tasks.
  • Boosts productivity and alertness – helps maintain energy and focus all day long.
  • Imitates natural daylight – creates a natural, motivating work environment.

Comfort and natural balance

Warm white light with a lower color temperature (around 2,700–3,000 K) has a soft, calming effect and creates a pleasant atmosphere. It is ideal for spaces where we want to relax, calm the mind, and evoke a sense of home. Indoors, it feels natural and cozy, similar to the light of a sunset. It helps the body prepare for rest and supports the production of melatonin – the sleep hormone.

  • Promotes relaxation and calm – creates a pleasant atmosphere for rest and recovery.
  • Creates a cozy environment – ideal for homes, hotels, or wellness spaces.
  • Supports natural sleep rhythm – helps the body unwind and prepare for sleep.

Experience the light

Imagine a Monday morning. Soft, warm light gently wakes you and helps you adapt to the new day. At work, an important meeting awaits – crisp, cooler light boosts your concentration and activity. In the afternoon, as you finish a demanding project, HCL lighting keeps your mind sharp and alert. In the evening, the light softens again, preparing you for rest with a book – naturally, effortlessly.

HCL lighting is not just a trend – it’s an intelligent step toward a better quality of life. In a world where artificial light dominates most of our days, it’s time to change our approach.

Let the light work for you – not against you.
