Light fittings for agricultural and breeding facilities

(cow houses, pigsties, stables and poultry houses)

Increased chemical resistance of light fittings, especially when it comes to ammonia vapours, is one of the key attributes for agricultural and breeding facilities (cow houses, stables, pigsties, poultry houses, etc.)

Our INNOVA ABS, FUTURA ABS and PRIMA ABS light fittings are characterised by their high resistance not only to the above-mentioned ammonia vapours, but also to chemical preparations intended for cleaning and disinfection. They also have a high resistance to mechanical damage and high temperatures.

Certified

These characteristics of our INNOVA light fittings have been confirmed by the independent agricultural certification company DLG, one of the leading authorities in quality assessment. The certificate issued by DLG demonstrates long-term resistance to ammonia vapours as well as the possibility of washing the light fittings using high-pressure devices with cold and hot water. INNOVA light fittings can therefore be described as the most suitable products for agricultural and breeding facilities.

The DLG test laboratory confirmed that neither a regular exposure to ammonia vapours nor washing procedures (respecting the distances specified in the protocol) will damage the light fitting or shorten its lifespan. The closed and non-disassembleable INNOVA light fittings are also intended for other chemically demanding operations – production and storage halls, food processing facilities, laboratories, car washes, etc.

Concept RED

… for efficient production

The special red LED module can be integrated into INNOVA ABS RED, FUTURA ABS RED or PRIMA ABS RED light fittings. More and more farmers are using red light in their facilities. Why? Because it has a positive effect on certain processes of farmed animals such as:

Biorhythm: The specific red-coloured light does not disturb the cows’ biorhythm while they are resting, and the staff can move around the cow house and perform all tasks, including milking. Cows do not perceive red light at all.

Fitness and health: Proper lighting, including optimal scheduling, can positively affect the overall fitness and health of animals.

Metabolic processes: Red light can stimulate metabolic processes in the body and indirectly increase milk production.

Concept BLUE

… for efficient production

In poultry farms, lighting is a key factor affecting productivity. Blue light is becoming increasingly popular among farmers. Why? Thanks to several advantages:

Improved growth and development: Blue light promotes growth and development and helps keep poultry at optimal weight while having a beneficial effect on their health

Regenerated biorhythms: Blue light affects the chickens’ biological clock, helping them better adapt to both daylight and darkness.

Increased activity: Chickens are more active under blue light, which positively affects their movement, behaviour and can reduce stress and aggression.

Supported reproduction: Blue light can improve reproductive efficiency in laying hens.

Concept BLUE

A red or blue light fitting can either supplement the existing lighting system or serve as the basis for a new one. The selected light fittings contain a LED module with white light for normal lighting and another one with red or blue light.

It is important to ensure that the lights are properly set and sufficiently intense. The optimal lighting periods of blue light depend on the type of poultry and the stage of production.

The special red/blue LED module can be integrated into INNOVA ABS and FUTURA ABS or PRIMA light fittings.
